Clean up routine pre solids?

UPDATE: Tested the sprayer we have in our mudroom sink (similar to a kitchen sprayer) and it is magic. So much of the liquid yellow poo comes off with that pre spray!! Def going to be the routine going forth before dumping the wet bag in the washer.
What do you guys do for cloth diaper cleanup. My husband is freaked out about yellow, liquidy baby poo in the washer and wants me to set up the sprayer that was given to us. But I thought the sprayer was mostly for when poo gets a little more solid? What is your routine post diaper removal from baby heiny? We are using pocket diapers and have wet bags in diaper pails.

Pee diaper comes off goes straight in the pail. 
Poop diaper goes into “poop bucket” which is carried to the bathroom where I spray it out and then carry it back into the room & put it in the pail. That way you aren’t precariously carrying poopy/soaking wet diapers round the house. Wash every 2 days.

If baby is exclusively on breast milk, the poop is water soluble. I take the diapers off, put them in the wet bag, and then wash every 2-3 days.

We used prefolds and flats (not sure how it might differ from pocket diaper procedures). We also EBF. We didn’t spray baby poop. Just throw it in the pail. You should do what you feel comfortable with.

Ahhh pre-solids cloth diapering...those were the days!! Yeah, I definitely never did any sort of pre-rinse. A cloth diapering class was offered through our birth center, and the instructor confirmed that it's unnecessary (and if you think about it, more wasteful since you're using more water than needed). I would relish the days that you don't need to spray - once solids are in the mix, you'll get a whole lot of use out of that sprayer! 😂

Ebf poops go straight in the pail, I don’t rinse. Food poops I just swish in the toilet the old-fashioned way, I don’t have a sprayer.

We never sprayed EBF poo.  It was usually liquidy enough to be absorbed into the fabric.  Sunning after washing removed any yellow discoloration.

I rinsed them even before solids and then hung them to dry between washes.  It’s not necessary, it’s just what I preferred to do
