Anxiety about new house? Gas heat

So my new place has gas for the heat and I’m just having a lot of anxiety about it. Anyone else delt with gas for heat? Is it bad for your health?

What do you mean... ? Most houses have gas heat, the alternative would be oil.

Gas is a very efficient heat source, and perfectly safe when it's installed and maintained properly.
You should already have CO2 detectors in your house to meet building codes, but you can always add more if it'll ease your mind. They're fairly inexpensive, easy to install and available in most hardware stores.

We have gas heat with old school radiators -it’s amazing when it’s cold. It’s pretty cost efficient but nonetheless we had ours serviced first thing when we moved in. I’m talking before even finishing unpacking I had someone come look at it to make sure everything was safe and such. So I recommend that if you haven’t already. Also get the smoke detectors that also alert for carbon monoxide. As long as you get it serviced yearly you should be fine.

Love my gas heat and stove and dryer! It’s just so much more efficient and cheaper!

I’ve never lived in a house that didn’t have a gas heater. I didn’t know there were other kinds, aside from woodstove/fireplace heat.
Gas heaters are perfectly safe.

We’ve always had gas and are starting a new build and will have a gas heater, stove and fireplace as well.
