Abnormal pap

So I’ve had 2 abnormal paps 6 months apart at my family doctors. They said all the tests came back negative, but I have to go see a Gynaecologist now for more tests. I have absolutely no idea what to expect. My GP was super insensitive, while I was crying in her office I was so nervous she told me the only way to prevent this ever from happening is to limit sexual partners. I’m ALWAYS safe if I’m sexually active, and it just felt very defeating. Any direction on what to expect when I go to the Gynaecologist? Do I have to get surgery? Will whatever I have go away? I am SO scared...
