A lot of people do the change at 2 or 3. But if they can climb out of their crib, they need to switch. Whenever you feel they are old enough to go to bed instead of getting out of bed all night or when they climb out of your crib.

We also pled the toddler bed. We went from crib to twin sized bed at 2.

My daughter didn't want to switch from her crib.....until she saw it had a canopy! We were just under 3. But now we are thinking we should just go straight to big girl bed....

As long as they will sleep in the crib and not climb out don’t worry about switching. My son will be 3 in May and is still in the crib. I’m thinking sometime during his 3rd year we’ll be converting to toddler bed.

When they're able to climb out of the crib. Some kids are acrobats and do it very early. You want to make sure that they're not going to hurt themselves.

1.5 2 maybe. If the master climbing then it’s definitely time! My daughter used to climb her pack and play and would jump into our bed and wale me up I always assumed my husband was getting her out in the mornings when he left for work but nope! She climbed the damn thing one day and scared us to death 😂😂
