Anyone know how long it typically takes an employer to get back to you after an interview?

I interviewed for my dream job as a Public Health Nurse on Tuesday. The interview was super quick and unfortunately I felt very rushed. The employer was late to our interview and you could tell he was trying to hurry up. They are extremely overwhelmed right now in Public health due to COVID, so I do understand and tried not to take it personally.

The job posting is actually up until January 25th because they do need multiple Nurses. They told me they will send me a reference form to sign and fill out if I am a successful candidate. I have not heard or received anything yet. Wondering if I should count myself out yet or not? How long does it typically take for employers to get back to you after interviews? All my other jobs I have been hired on the spot or within 24 hours, so I am nervous! I’m trying to keep in mind that they are super busy and likely have more interviews but waiting is definitely tough when you want something so badly!
