Were you worried at the beginning of the Obama presidency?

Back in 2008 I had a lot of family and friends very worried about an Obama Presidency. They were worried about the economy and jobs, they were worried about loosing their guns/gun rights. Some were even expressing concerns that Christianity would become illegal.

If you were worried in 2008 do you feel your worries were confirmed?

No I wasn’t worried; and I was happy with Obama as president. Tbh, I really don’t ever remember feeling worried until Trump, and really worried DURING trump, as it got worse and worse. Now, I’m hopeful!

I have already seen people in my timeline claim Biden to be the anti christ 🤦🏽‍♀️
I don’t love Biden, but damn. They said the same thing about Obama when he came into office. I don’t understand the whole “Democrats are the devil” mentality.
Anyways....I’m indifferent. I was a teen when Obama was elected so my dumb ass didn’t know enough to have a valid opinion. (I was sure he wasn’t the antichrist though lol)

Not really. I didn't agree with G.W Bush on much and I liked the idea of a change in leadership.  I did think we would get universal health care  but we got ACA as a comprise which was better than nothing but not great.
I had some preexisting conditions so it was stressful not being able to get I insurance at all.

Nah. At that time i was in America and we were secured. I didn’t feel threatened by his presidency. I only felt my right would be in danger when trump was announced president, and my feelings were confirmed. But it’s 2021 and Biden is the new president and I’m feeling hopeful

No I wasn't worried, I did think some of the things I was hearing about him from the Republicans and Conservative media were over the top and thought they would eventually calm down. They didn't, there were so many meltdowns over silly things like not wearing a flag pin, Michelle showing her arms, wearing a bike helmet while riding a bike and a tan suit. 
I really disagreed with drone strikes. And I thought we would bring a lot more troops home. 
I was disappointed by Obamacare but it was a start.  Like most things he did, he was fought every inch of the way.

No, I wasn't. 
I can't say I'm "worried" about Biden either, but I am ready for his tax increases, gas price increases and for my medical to go up. I plan on refinancing my home before interest rates go up and the market crashes. 
Luckily my husband's job is safe from policies Biden's admin might/will put in place. He also works for a giant company, so our insurance shouldn't be affected too much. Quite a few of my friends work for small companies or own their own though. I guess I worry for them a little. My dad should be retiring soon, so when he has to shut his business down, he'll be ready.

I was only concerned when the racists started threatening his life. Obama presidency really showed me how uneducated some people are and how awful the education system is that grown adults behave like racist aholes. But now we have BLM and POC are not taking the BS anymore. There has been alot of pushback from trump supporters and other racists about BLM but thats only because of racism and insecurity of not being able to bully them anymore. I think being concerned during his presidency helped form what we have today and was the pinnacle of fighting racial inequality.
