I dated a man with a kid once. NEVER again. I don’t like coming second to your child and their mother. I don’t like another woman constantly in his life aside from his own mother, I just couldn’t do it.

It depends on the reaction of my man, just how bold the ex is being & how recently they broke up. 
When I 1st started dating my husband he was recently divorced, she left him to explore her attraction to women so in our case I wasn’t worried about them getting back together romantically, but there were no boundaries w/ her. She was over all the time to spend time w/ their son even though it was my husband’s time (he didn’t do the same when it was her time unless it was a school function or something), after I moved in she still had a key & would just let herself in to our place whenever & she called/texted/emailed a lot even w/ stuff that had nothing to do with their son. 
It drove me insane but I told myself things like “It’s good that they get along.” “It’s great that their son gets so much time w/ both of them.” It turned out that it wasn’t that great for their son it was actually really confusing for him (not to mention her new girlfriend disliked the setup as much as I did) Eventually his ex became more secure in her relationship & we got married & the boundaries just started forming naturally. I think at 1st in our case they weren’t really sure what divorce would look like for them & they were trying really hard to still act like a family instead of just friendly exes. 
Now we only see her once a week when she drops him off for our time & she only texts/emails w/ kid/schedule related stuff. Long story short if your man is committed to you then you don’t really need to worry about what the ex is doing, you can just roll your eyes about her & then move on with your day.

This is one of the reasons why i wont date a single dad. Plus from what i have seen personally, 9/10 he is still sleeping with his BM and still has feelings for her. It may not happen, but i dont want to deal with that baggage right now.
