My husband and I decided we would not have friends of the opposite sex nor have any social media accounts. But it’s completely normal for a man to have female friends even if he is married. Same goes for a female with male friends.

Me and my husband don't do social media,, and we also don't talk to our old friends that are opposite sex. It honestly is not because we do not trust eachother but the people we were friends with that were not that great of people and have attempted to cause so issues.. we both feel it can lead to problems that are unnecessary. How he explained it to me is "our marriage is more important, above all" It is up to how you both want to handle the issue.
