Are cramps normal on bc

I’ve been back on birth control (specifically vienva) for the first time in over a year and I’ve been having random cramps for the past two or so weeks. They aren’t as crippling as regular cramps and only last for a few seconds 1-4 times a day, pretty much like the cramps I get the week before my period reminding me of what’s coming. I start my first placebo week tomorrow so my period should arrive in Another day or two after that but I’ve never had pms cramps that started and lasted two weeks before my period. I’m wondering if this is a normal side effect and if anyone else has experienced this while on the pill?
