Had my first scan and saw heartbeat already, thought that would help but it didn’t

It’s okay!! With my first I was definitely excited but it didn’t feel 100 percent real until the day she was born and was an instant connection and love for me. With our second I’m about 10 weeks and I haven’t felt as excited or connected yet.
Don’t worry. Once you start feeling kicks or even when baby is born it will all come to you ❤️

This sounds horrible but until my daughter turned about 3 months old, I didn’t feel a connection with her either. It’s normal! Now she’s just absolutely everything to me. My whole world. But at first it just didn’t feel like she was mine. I felt like I was just taking care of someone else’s kid. It was weird.. don’t be hard on yourself though. We all react and feel differently during pregnancy and postpartum!

there is a possibility you may not connect until a couple months after birth. your journey of connecting with your baby is purely your own, and is incredibly special however it goes. ❤️

I’m 11 weeks Monday & I feel this way too, I even saw the baby last week as well. Idk maybe because I’m going through a breakup with the dad. I hope to feel more excited as time goes on & I get a bump!
