Best friends for 8 years

Hey guys I need some advice. Recently my best friend and I ended our friendship. It’s been 8 years but she said the past two years she felt like she wasn’t getting the same feedback as she was giving me. We had a fight where I took someone’s word and didn’t give her a chance to explain her side before confronting her. I apologized but it was eating at her from the inside so that’s where our friendship ended. I admit I have been a bad friend. She’s not the easiest person to deal with and sometimes I don’t know how to react but I do know she really loved me flaws and all. We have changed so much since high school and we’re headed down two different paths so sometimes I think that ending the friendship was the best decision but she is the only person that I could be 100% myself around and my phone is filled with memories I made with her. I’m numb towards the situation and I don’t know what to do.
