He doesn’t like my drinking

Hi ladies I just met this guy and we’ve been dating for a month now and I don’t really care to drink anymore. I use to drink so much before but now only special occasions but the thing is I drink a lot. I can drink. I’m 27 and this weekend we were all watching football and I kept drinking, he’s more of a enjoy my time and I just kept drinking..

He brought this to my attention today and said he “hates” that about me. I can’t help but just want to distance myself, I just hope this didn’t change how he seems me..

Ladies, how can I make things better?

I don’t get sloppy, I just don’t stop and he hates how that “looks” but I hardly ever drink like that and I just don’t want to mess things up
