Mouth injury 😫

Kaitlyn • Married, 26, 👶🫄

My child really wants to give me a heart attack. She's almost 14 months and she was pulling on on my leg and slipped and fell. She busted her little mouth right on the floor 😭 After we both calmed down, got the bleeding stopped, and she was chewing on crushed ice in a silicone feeder, I was trying to assess the damage. The blood was coming from her gum line and it looks like her 2 front top teeth have been pushed up into her gum a little. Not much, but enough for me to notice. I've already called the pediatrician, and the nurse left a message with her doctor to see what she says. I've of course done some Googling in the mean time, and while its a little reassuring that everything is okay, I just wanted to see if anyone else had had this happen. Her teeth aren't loose or wobbly, they haven't shifted any other direction that I can tell, they just got pushed up into her gum a little.

She's okay now and quit crying fairly quickly and I gave her a little Tylenol and put her down for a nap. I know it had to have hurt a lot. I'm a wimp when it comes to my mouth and teeth being hurt, and I can't imagine my teeth being shoved up into my gums 🤢

Just tell me your experiences with this if you have any. If it takes too long for the doctor to call back, I'll probably call a dentist, but we've not been able to get set up with one for her yet, so I don't know how much help I can get since pediatric dentists are a rarity here
