Cloth Diapers? 🤔

Hi! 👋 First time mom here and id love some advice on cloth diapers. Any advice! lol 
None of my family members have used or know anything about reusable diapers and ive been looking into more environmentally and budget friendly ways to raise my little one ❤️ 
Since i have no experience with them i planned on buying a few and using them mainly at home and getting some disposable diapers for on the go and bedtime.
If you know any good brands or tips on cloth diapers, id greatly appreciate it 😩🙏

I love cloth diapering! This is going to be scattered because I’m tired, but here’s all the things I can think of! 
It has been super super easy and way cheaper than buying disposables. I used disposable for about a month because baby buddy was too small for cloth. Now we use cloth exclusively, even out and about. It’s no more of a hassle than disposable would be. 
I prefer pocket style diapers. I got mine from amazon (weegreeco and Alva baby brands) and I have some mama koala brand from Mercari. I use bamboo liners and found them super absorbent.
Look up detergents on “fluff university” to find one that will work for you. 
I do a rinse and spin in hot, then a wash with two rinses in hot with detergent. Anything stained gets line dried in the sun. All diapers are line dried regardless of stains, but liners not stained I throw in the dryer. 
I made cloth wipes out of soft flannel fabric and just use a spray bottle to wet it before using. 
Get a hamper sized wet bag! Totally worth it. Also, it stinks less if you allow airflow, so no diaper genie things. Seems like itd be the opposite, but I tested it. We just have a command hook for the bag to hang from and have no issues at all. 
When baby starts solids, the poop changes. We have a sprayer from amazon that attaches to the toilet. We just spray off the poo and it goes into a wet bag that we keep in the bathroom. Then throw it in on wash day. 
You don’t need a ton of diapers. I have enough stashed for two-three days, but I always always always keep 3 up in the closet just in case I happen to run out in the middle of wash day. That happened today 😂

Alva baby on Amazon is the most bang for your buck! We cloth diaper at home or for quick car trips. If we are out and about all day then I do disposable, just because I only carry a small diaper clout gift now that my dude is almost 2 and doesn’t require so much stuff. We also dWe take swim lessons once a week and I’ve never had to buy swim diapers, cloth diapers are great for the pool! Good luck.

There are so so many options. They range wildly in price so you can find very inexpensive options or very expensive options. 
We wash every other day. We change diapers every time baby pees. It’s a lot when they’re very young and gets less over time. My daughter was totally potty trained by 20 months. 
We used flats with a cover or prefolds with a cover. We like GMD brand. Flats and prefolds clean well and are inexpensive. We’ll use the same ones for the new baby (due in May). 
Keep asking questions and definitely try a few kinds of you’re able. 
Also totally great to use sposies whenever you need. My son was a super heavy overnight wetter. We always used sposies overnight for him.

I would recommend using the search bar. There is a multitude of information in this group but, because of it, I think it’s prudent to do a little research and first find what will fit for your lifestyle- too many different CD’ing options and not everything works for everyone.
