Clomid?? Stories good and bad

So i have been trying for years to conceive. I have been tested and im fine i ovulate regularly etc and my partner has good sperm but together i guess its just egg and sperm incompatibility. So on my next cycle i will be starting clomid just tablet. So im wanting to get some good success stories and even bad stories. If you conceived?? How long?? Any side effects.

After years of trying 6 years to be exact i have kind of lost hope and scared to get my hopes up because i think it will completely damage me.

So any stories would be a bit of hope i guess
