Is this a normal reaction?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 years, we are 22. This was his texts to me after a serious argument where I was contemplating leaving the relationship. Do his texts seem normal? I think he might have Borderline Personality and I’m wondering if this is lovebombing? Also, all these texts weren’t sent all at once, I just didn’t screenshot my responses

My ex reacted this way when I finally broke up with him. He was a manipulative, abusive, gaslighter and the moment I would distance myself or try to leave he would immediately react like this. Obviously the guy needs help but he is also trying to guilt you into staying with him. It’s manipulative and even if he did end up hurting himself it is 100% not your fault. My advice is to stop responding and give space. If he continues to insinuate hurting itself, reach out to his parents and let them know so he can get help.

Don’t self diagnose. 
He does need mental health help though. But that’s for his mom. Take care of yourself, if you want to break up, do it. Don’t stay because you’re afraid of what he may or may not do. It’s up to him to get help and follow treatment

His texts are completely typical of a person who uses suicide to manipulate others into doing what he wants them to do. Tell him you’re going to call the cops and send them over to his house the next time he threatens or hints at suicide. Do not allow yourself to be held hostage by this behavior.

I have borderline personality disorder and unless this is constant behavior I don’t think he’d have it? He could just be bottling things up and just let them all out or just now realize things that are going on? I wouldn’t automatically think he had a personality disorder

It's an extreme reaction. Seems codependent and I don't know if it's borderline or many other things, because sometimes, these disorders have a lot of overlap and in an isolated situation, you just know he's having a tough time with this particular situation- not his general behavior patterns or why he might feel absolutely crushed at the prospect of being left. 
I'd view it as begging, more than love bombing, not to say it can't be manipulative or evolve into love bombing. I mean he is trying to communicate that he needs you through being hurt & wounded by the situation, hoping you'll come save him, patch him up and make him feel better. And that can absolutely be manipulative. (I've dated my covert narcissist types, usually with borderline features. My ex told me he lost a significant amount of weight and was basically wasting away without me feeding him, for instance.)
