Birth control and period in the middle?

So I Took progesterone to have a withdraw period I guess, it wasn’t as heavy as it had been a few months ago. It was like my normal period and light flow. I started my birth control and then I missed it for two days. But now I just started my period. It is because I didn’t take my birth control for two days gave me a period?

- I haven’t had a period on my own besides in November. I got my my Mireya removed a year or two ago and had problems getting a period back. Got tested for PCOS ultrasounds and everything. Blood work and stuff came back normal. Is this a real period? Dr put me on the pill told me to come back in 6 months. Trying to soon ttc our second baby.
