It’s scientifically and biologically not possible to menstruate during pregnancy. Spotting or bleeding can occur due to other causes, and in rare cases MAY resemble a period, but any spotting or bleeding during pregnancy, whether it’s accompanied by other symptoms, or not, needs to be brought to the attention of your doctor!

You can have some bleeding during pregnancy but to have a full period is impossible. Your period is when you shed the lining of the uterus. The lining of the uterus is where it implants. Thus if you shed it you would be shedding the embryo too. There is no way to have an actual period and be pregnant. If you have gotten a positive pregnancy test and are bleeding you should call a doctor but of you are sure it is your period you aren't pregnant.

It’s not  possible for a pregnant woman  to have a true menstrual period during pregnancy. However there are different causes as to why a woman could have bleeding in her first and Second trimester. Your hormone levels during pregnancy will change to prevent you from menstruating, so not possible for your body to shed its entire uterine lining as it would during a period while maintaining a healthy pregnancy.
