5cm and not in labor?!

How long can you walk around at 5cm and not be in active labor? I am so ready for baby to be here and I am already 5cm. How long can this last 😬😬 I always thought I’d be admitted if I was this dilated.

5 cm is that iffy number on wether they admit you unfortunately..  I’m surprised you aren’t in labor though at cm! How far along are you? Maybe that’s why they haven’t just admitted you and got things going

Girl, I've been walking around dilated 6cm for a week and nothing is happening! It's absolutely maddening....and I'm only 37+6. My doctor won't do anything to help me along until 39 weeks so I'm right there with you. 
Hopefully you go into labor soon, fingers crossed for you!

My friend was recently a 5cm on a Wednesday afternoon and gave birth Saturday morning. I would walk walk walk and do squats if I were you.

I was dilated to 5 for 4 days and they finally decided to break my water to get things started at 38 weeks with my last.

I wasn’t admitted until I was 7cm. But also it’s about how fast you are progressing. If you have been 5cm for a while then they may feel that there is no urgency.
