Do babies sense frustration?
Hey all,
2 months pp with a sweet little boy. I keep having overwhelming anxiety that I’m destroying my little guy. There have been a few times over the course of his new life that I’ve been just so frustrated. Exhausted, not sure what to do. And my tone certainly reflects that. Never directed towards him. But talking to myself about a frustrating situation. Or sounding less than calming when I’m begging him to sleep.
My worry, and question, is am I causing long term damage to my babes mental well being? Are we supposed to somehow never feel or let frustration slip? He’s a very clingy babe and I’m a SAHM so the concept of leaving him for a minute to go cool down is hard because he will literally cry the entire time which makes me feel even worse than being frustrated around him.. but I also don’t want to cause psychological damage.
All opinions welcome.
Thanks.
