Would it be stupid to wear false eyelashes to a scheduled c section?

Between the mask, hair net, and lovely gown, the only thing seen will really be my eyes.  (Which I consider my best feature). I’d love to have false lashes on during my c section. Kinda as a confidence booster for myself.  With my first child/labor, I had eyelash extensions. I won’t do that this time due to Covid. Also, I’m thinking something natural looking. Not ridiculously long.

I don’t think it’s stupid to want to feel beautiful but I wouldn’t recommend false lashes because they would probably ask you to remove them. It’s an infection hazard and if you do need to go under for some reason it’ll be in the way of the anesthesiologist taping your eyes. But maybe speak with your doctor, it could be no big deal. If they are fine with it who cares what other people think.

If it’ll make you feel better, you do you mama. It is a major surgery, so recovery would be more what I’d be thinking of. That would be one less thing I’d want to deal with if I didn’t have to, but I also believe in the “look good, feel good” mentality lol. If I’m feeling sick, I’ll go all out and do my hair, makeup, dress cute, and then it really does make me feel a bit better bc I feel at least somewhat like myself. So whatever works for you

Do it! With my first baby, I looked like death. My hair hadn’t been bleached in far too long and I’d just generally neglected all forms of self-care. I am not a superficial person at all but I cringe at those rare few photos of myself holding my newborn baby. So this time I’ve had my hair done, got my nails done and I just got my eyelash extensions in last night in hopes that I can actually look fondly upon the pics this time around. It’s not crazy to want to look & feel good.

Not stupid at all, important to feel good. Just be prepared they may ask you to remove since it is technically surgery. Hopefully not!

Psh I would. I’m actually hoping to do my hair and make up at the time I go into labor lol. So when I take pictures I look okay. I don’t wear makeup now because of covid and mask but that day I plan to.

I wore make up with my last and plan to do so again this time. Do whatever makes you happy. I got a rhinestone covered mask for delivery 🤷‍♀️
