Formula discard?

Hi, I wonder how everyone is using formula milk for baby? I boil water once, wait half hour and use it as it says on the box but at times I waste a lot or is hard to have the water ready as same temperature.  How bad is it to use a bottle after 3 hour? Or made with warm water?

You can make a bottle with warm water. I boil the kettle after I have made a bottle that way there is boiled water done for the next bottle at room temp. If you are having milk left over in the bottle after feeding your child you may be preparing too much. Eg. With some Australian formulas it’s 1 scoop formula for every 60ml of water. So to make a bottle I use 240ml of water that was previously boiled and is now at room temp and add 4 level scoops of formula. If any is left over after an hour it gets tipped down the sink. If bubs is still hungry I can make up another 60ml of water with 1 scoop. If you are having to waste milk every feed you may need to drop down how much is prepared same if you are topping up each feed you may need to increase to next portion size. If its not a full portion you child is having you can divide the prepared formula between bottles and refrigerate the unused portion to use later.

you’re supposed to use prepared formula within 2 hours of preparation and within one hour from when feeding begins. If my baby doesn’t finish his bottle i throw that milk out. I wouldn’t even want to give it to him after it’s been sitting. That’s gross to give your baby formula that’s been sitting out for 3 hours unless it’s been in the fridge. 
this part here is from google  “Formula that is sitting out at room temperature must be thrown away after 1 hour. ... If your baby does not drink all the formula within one hour, throw it out. Do not refrigerate a leftover bottle with formula with the intention of your baby drinking it later because bacteria could make your baby sick.”
