I'm best friends with a guy. We became friends in the 5th grade and have been friends for 4 years. We had online classes last semester but this semester we are back in school. He started acting funny when we came back to school. He started texting me less and not really talking. I asked if I did something wrong and he said he's just had a lot on his mind. We talked on the phone last night and he said he needed to tell me something but I can't tell anyone. I made a promise not to tell anyone. He said his step brothers have been forcing him to have sex with them and making him do stuff he didn't want to do. I asked if he told his mom and he said he did but its complicated. I tried to tell him he needs to tell someone, but he said he can't. He's not allowed to and that I made him a promise and if I tell anyone he will never talk to me again. I really don't know what to do. He made me promise not to tell and there's no one I can turn to for advice. I thought if I post anonymously on here I'm technically not breaking my promise because no one knows who we are. I just need advice. He's being hurt but I promised him I wouldn't say anything. What is the right thing to do😞😞😞
