Contractions

I’m 32 weeks pregnant and was in labor and delivery for monitoring yesterday and they saw on the monitor that I was having small contractions but I didn’t feel anything so they said it could also be baby’s movement. But today I’m cramping on and off at the top of my stomach. Could they be contractions or normal cramps or do contractions only happen throughout the whole stomach?
