Posting a kid’s picture on social media without permission and then refusing to take it down after repeated requests actually does sound like harassment, lol. I’m assuming the other party is not the child’s parent?

Depends who you’re talking to.  If it’s another parent/stepparent, it’s out of line unless you have it in a court order not to.  If it’s anyone else, that’s your decision and it should be respected.

While I agree that a 3rd party shouldn’t be posting photos of your child, I find it hard to believe that this person would respond with ‘stop harassing me’ if the messages you posted are the only msgs that’ve been sent. I don’t think we’re getting the whole story here

Report the problem to the social media platform unless it’s the other parent. 
This is why I don’t give pictures out to some family. They are not responsible enough. 
And no, what you’ve written is it considered harassment.

From just reading what is posted, no, this is not harassment. But if someone is posting pictures of your child online without permission then you can report it and it should be taken down by the site. 
I’ve never understood why someone wouldn’t respect a parent’s request to not have their child’s photo posted online. It doesn’t matter if you’re related or a close friend, you respect that persons choice. I’ve had many friends and family members in the past request that photos I’ve taken not be posted online, and I’ve respected it, it’s really not that difficult.
