So this guy and i have been dating for a super short time, about 3-4 weeks. things have been escalated day to day and have only been getting more serious though we aren't quite on the girlfriend/boyfriend label, which is a mutual understanding. However, I met one of his friends this past weekend while i was with him and he introduced me as his girl. The friend he introduced me to told him specifically that he wanted to go after me while he was drunk and luckily my guy isn't the jealous type and shrugged it off like a joke. Now, two days after meeting he found my Instagram account, followed me and dm'd me saying hey we met last weekend through my good friend (my guy) and basically whats up. I immediately told my guy and he was like oh no he really shot his shot and is coming after you. Do i ignore this message or stand up for my guy because its messed up that his homie is coming after his girl?! Torn between not wanting to overthink it and being lightly protective of my guy because I think he's a tad hurt that his friend actually sobered up and is trying to talk to me behind his back.
