Depends on the situation. How close am I to that person, how well I trust them, are they insured as an individual, do I have another method of transportation, did I know they were taking the car on a road trip.... If I agreed to let them have it with all of those questions settled then I wouldn't feel any remorse. If my husband was the one to lend his car, without asking me, I'd only be upset if it drastically impacted our family's ability to get around.

Yeah... that’s how my dad got stuck with a smashed in, pretty new car. It devalues rapidly after coming off the lot. Tell them to rent their own.

My vehicle is also my house, ultimately, it's my most expensive and important possession, so that is probably a no from me.
Although I have considered letting someone I know use it if I went backpacking for months at a time. I know just sitting is bad.
