Advice about boyfriend having female friend

I’ve been with my boyfriend for 11 months now and I know he has a female friend from being back at school (He’s 24 now for reference).

I’ve never been on his phone but she messaged him just casually and I saw that when he last visited his parents (when there wasn’t a lockdown) he had gone to visit her social distancing for a short period of time.

I haven’t got a problem with him having her as a friend but when I asked why he never said he went to visit her at the time his response was that he didn’t feel it was an important thing to say.

This hurt me a lot.. it’s not because of him having the female friend it’s down to the fact I trusted with telling him what happened in my past relationships. I got cheated on many times and many had involvement of ‘just female friends’. This touched an unhealed wound from the past.
