Day 24: Black History Month

Day 24: Okay so today's post is about princesses and the lack of a black one yes ik there's Tiana but she was a frog for more than half the movie and it doesn't send out a good message for young black girls.They waited for so long to see someone that represents them and it's a frog also Tiana is on-screen for roughly 40 minutes of the film, 17 of them spent as a human and 23 as a frog which makes her get more screen time as a frog than as a human. So this post is for the black women who grew up without seeing themselves as a princess and had to dress up as something else while everyone else was Cinderella, snow white and belle
