Am I wrong to feel a bit bitter about this?
So earlier this month something dramatic had happened at work causing a lot of workload and my colleague said how she couldn't keep up with work and how it's so busy.
So I asked my supervisor to start an earlier shift and end up doing 2 hrs overtime.
She didn't respond. I chose to log in (teleworking anyways) and help my colleague out wether or not it was going to be approved.. I didn't care much, I didn't mind the 2 hrs free work, I've done this plenty of times and I basically leave it up to the supervisor to check wether or not they approve of my extra hours or not.
Then my spv logged in and she made a drama out of everything called in the manager and other supervisors who have nothing to do with my team whatsoever, burnt my colleague too because she told me it was so busy.
So I said.. Look.. I just logged in because I hadn't had a response from you yet, if it's a problem I will just log off and come back at my normal hour.. So she told me to stay now that it's arranged..
Now I get my payslip and the 2 hours are not on it.
Seriously.. I didn't mind not being paid for them but after all that drama and being dragged through the mud to a lot of supervisors and including her telling me to stay.. I would have expected to be paid for the 2 damn freaking hours. Damn.
Next time I wanna help my colleagues I'll just do it without contacting her, bet she wouldn't even notice.
