Elected reps behavior – same or different?

Some people are saying this is petty or unprofessional, essentially antagonizing 'coworkers' for political points on both sides.  
Others are saying that Newman has a trans child so is justified in putting up a flag, whereas Greene is being bigoted and is in the wrong for placing that sign.

Do you think the two are the same, or different?  For the record - Newman put up the flag first.

Greene’s sign is also factually incorrect. Clearly she doesn’t understand science. Male and female are two sexes.

I’m all for respecting others beliefs, but I draw the line at inaccuracies. Greene is entitled to her beliefs, however she is not entitled to discrimination against any other human.
Her sign is scientifically inaccurate and that shows all I need to know. Science supports transgender people, regardless of opinion.
