Should I get maternity pictures done?

This is my first baby and I want to do something really special but I don’t know if it’s worth the money it costs to get pictures done 😩 we have a friend who’s also really good at pictures but not sure of the price he would charge, help

This is our third and final. We are doing them this time. But I found someone who did newborn/maternity package. She also had a deal on at the time so really the maternity shoot ended up being free and just paying for the newborn study session

Take them yourself! If you have a family member or friend close that can help you, do that! I’ve never paid for maternity pictures. In my opinion, I would rather splurge on newborn photos than photos of myself pregnant. This is one that my mom took on an iPhone of us with my first 💙

I am a photographer and will be doing my own shoot. lf anything, try reaching out to newer photographers and see if they are willing to work with you for a discounted price. I would love to do all of your guys’ pictures but I live in Canada and have a high risk pregnancy. If I learnt anything from this is that once my business is running I will make a mention on my site about discounts and payment plans and such.

I’m gonna do our own next weekend at the beach ☺️💙 we have a professional camera and stand, so that’s how we’re gonna do ours. I already got all our outfits. ( my two daughters and husband all wearing blue)

This is my third and I’ve always wished I could afford someone else taking them for me. If you can manage I think it’d be well worth it. But if you’re like me and just couldn’t safely manage it, you can always get dressed up by yourself and use your self timer ❤️ It still makes me incredibly happy looking back on my self-shoots from my first 2 babies. I haven’t reached the point of doing it for this baby yet 😊

Definitely consider doing a home photo shoot are seeing if a family member of friend can help :)
Otherwise if you’re interested in newborn photos too check and see if any photographers do discounts if you do both. We knew we were willing to pay for newborn photos and we ended up getting a discount on maternity for booking newborn
