Has anyone's pet on here had a splenectomy? My dog went in for dentals today, they were concerned about a protrusion they noticed (which I have not), they opened him up and saw it was a tumour on his spleen so they removed the whole thing.

Who would have thought, right.

Anyway, they said I can collect him on Saturday IF he recovers well by then, I just want to prepare myself in the meantime. Are there any special things I need to do for him going forward?
