Did you and your SO get tested for covid?

They said they would be doing a rapid test on me, but didn’t say about him. Just wondering if you both had to be tested?

I’m getting tested tomorrow at 38 weeks but they don’t require him to be tested. He’ll get a temperature check when we get to the hospital, answer a COVID questionnaire, and have to wear a mask the whole time, but no test. As of now anyway—this stuff changes so fast, who knows what it’ll be by delivery day lol.

Where I’m delivering the mother gets a test but the not the support person, they just have to answer a questionnaire about symptoms.

I got tested while I was actually pushing!! Baby born at 35+1 and was in hospital 16 mins before he was born so they did it mid-push! Haha nightmare!

Had mine yesterday (UK). I had to have both a rapid lateral flow test and a PCR test. My partner had the option to have a lateral flow test if he wanted to but it was made clear to him it was his choice and if it was positive he would be made to leave. He did have to wear a mask the whole time and had to sign to consent to them testing him

My ob did a test on both of  us a few days before my c section but when we got to the hospital, they wanted another and it was just me

It will probably vary depending on your hospital & what their policies are. 
I had my baby 2 weeks ago. I was tested, but not until after I'd had baby (about 12 hours after arrival), husband wasn't tested at all, he just had to wear a mask the whole time.

I thought they told me we would both need to be tested, but they only tested me. I don’t know if they forgot to test my husband, or if my ob had been wrong about the policy when he told me weeks before. Either way I wasn’t going to ask them because it hurt like hell!
