Period

I had a miscarriage in December on the 5th. I got my period in January and it was a regular period for me. Then starting in February till now I have had 3 periods some lighter than normal and heart burn like I did when I was 6 months pregnant with my son. Has anyone else experienced this after a miscarriage? I emailed my doctor and haven't heard back from them. I'm wondering if I need to make an OB appointment or a Dr appointment to check my thyroid levels or something.
