Super weird question?

Okay so. This is a super weird question and I feel dumb asking this since I’m a mother of three and this is my second daughter.

Today when I changed my daughters diaper, she’s 8 months I noticed while cleaning her that her opening to her vagina looks closed. Kinda like a thick film? Idk how to explain this.

Any other moms of girls notice this? I already made a call for an appt with her pediatrician, but hoping I can get some input from others in the mean time.
