Who failed their 1 hour glucose test and passed their 3 hour test?

Did you do anything different? What number did you get when you failed the 1 hour test? Any advice/recommendations for the 3 hour test?

Failed my 1 hour with a 140. I just passed my 3 hour at my numbers were 78, 131, 125 and 84. I avoided sugar at dinner the night before but that was it 🤷🏾‍♀️.

I failed my one hour and then passed the 3 hour the following day. For the one hour, they said not to fast, so I’d eaten 20 mins before the test. However, at the three hour test, the nurse said a lot of people who fail do so because they’ve just eaten. While you don’t have to fast for the 1 hour, she said it helps prevent false positives. While the 3 hour was long and tedious, I passed with flying colors, so it was a relief.

Me! Failed my first test, and passed my second no problem. Before the first test I had a big lunch and think that contributed to the result. Before my second test I avoided really sugary foods for the day and ate half an english muffin with peanut butter right before bed. A friend had suggested this as it apparently helps lower your blood sugar and the protein helps you feel not as starving in the morning. Glad I did because I started to feel really sick after all that sugar on an empty stomach. Thankfully I made it through and passed!

I failed my 1 hour by 10points (I ate fast food about an hour before drinking the fruit punch drink) my dr assured me she sees a lot of women fail the first but pass the 3 hour. I went in a few days later to do the 3 hour - they got my fasting blood sugar (which was normal) and they got my blood draw an hour later (was normal range) and then I fainted and got sick from all the sugar 🤦🏼‍♀️ now I have to go back in and attempt a 2 hour test.

Failed 1 hour with result of 155. Ate less processed food/unhealthy carbs for a week. Focused on protein, fresh veggies & fruit, and tried not to over indulge on carbs and when I did went for healthier options. My three hour glucose levels were perfect!
