living room design help

Okay, so I'm trying to give life to my living room. The walls are a green color, that I don't love (were like this when we bought it, haven't had time to paint as we bought it, moved in & delivered our baby like 2 days after we moved in lol). Our couch is like a charcoal gray color. Wooden floors. I want to do an accent wall on the wall behind the tv that the staircase is attached too. I was thinking about getting this rug to match the couch/pillows (or just buy new pillows & maybe get a different rug?) & want to paint the walls a different color.

*side note: 6 kids 10 & under & 2 dogs lol *
