How long does your little one nap?

My almost 5 month old (and my son when he was a baby) nap for 45 mins in her crib. She can’t yet soothe herself back to sleep after her sleep cycle. My sister in law made a snide comment today saying “that nap wasn’t even worth it” and it made me feel like i was doing something wrong?

My 5 month old is never consistent with naps. Sometimes its 20mins sometimes 45. Then once in a while she'll do 2hour naps.

My son will be 5 months on the 16th. He will sleep 45 mins and sometimes we can help sooth him back to sleep for another 30 mins. It’s hit or miss really so most days we are at the 45 min mark. You are doing just fine mama! We can’t force our kiddos to do exactly what we want them to do. He’s getting naps, food, and loves which is all he needs. Keep it up!

It’ll come with time, some babies are naturally good sleepers some take a little longer. My son would only ever nap for 30 mins in the day but by the time he was 1 he was having a short morning nap then 2 hours after lunch, he’s now 2 and still has the 2 hour nap. X

Your sister-in-law is an asshole. Every baby is drastically different. As long as they’re happy and healthy, who the hell cares? It’s about what works for you and your baby. But to answer your question; my son sleeps from anywhere between 30 minutes to 3 hours for his first nap and then does 20-40 minutes for the rest of them.

My twins sleep 2 hours their first 2 naps & 45 min their last nap. My daughter would only take naps with my boob in her mouth so I’m extremely grateful that’s not the case with the boys. 😅

My girl is doing like 3 naps a day 45-ish minutes each. Babies are humans not robots. As long as baby is happy and not overtired who cares?

My 4.5 month old seems to only be doing 30-40 mins lately . I don’t think you are doing anything wrong !
