When are you guys switching to toddler beds?

We are moving this summer and I’m trying to figure out what to do/how to decorate my baby’s room. She will be about 20 months

Mine is a fricken HURRICANE and would never ever ever sleep if she was not in jail. So maybe when she’s 18??? 🤔🤔🤔🧐is that an option?

Plan to decorate set up for a toddler because for sure won’t be long in crib. I think you really need to see where she is at with her sleep and her mood closer to the move. What I mean is do you want to face a change like moving with a bed transition? Depends on the kid I think. With my oldest I kept her too long in crib for same reasons moms have mentioned she was wild lol changed at 3. Btw she went through a stage at around 18 months trying to climb out she did fall once and then never tried again. My poor baby Lol but she didn’t get hurt luckily. With this baby I will do it sooner mostly because it’s an excuse to decorate lol but also because she’s a great sleeper and already climbs in and out of big sisters bed perfectly. Thinking closer to 2 years old though. Good luck with move!

My daughter refuses to sleep in the crib. We have her mattress on the floor in her room. Unfortunately she learned how to open her bedroom door on her own.

Mine has been in one since December, but he also had his older sister as an example. It's worked well, mostly because now his sister can't torture him when he's trapped in the crib 😂

Until she decides to climb out or gets to old. Our first never attempt to climb out... so she was in it until she was 3yrs old. Later then most kids, but she’s a petite thing & potty trained late so there just was no need to.

My son is still in his crib and will be until he tries to climb out. I think my daughter climbed out at 18 months so that was when we switched her.

Just found out baby #2 is arriving end of November. So if we can switch to a toddler bed when baby goes in it’s own room that would be very nice for us because we won’t need to buy another crib. Otherwise we will wait until she climbs out

With our first we didn’t transition him until he was just over 2. And we only did because I was pregnant with our daughter and wanted to make sure we had him out of his crib and comfortable in a big boy bed before she came since she’d need the crib. So now that our daughter is 15 months, I at this point, have no interested yet in moving her to a bed. She’s our crazy girl so I see her just trying to get right out of bed. I don’t see it happening anytime before she’s 2. And I’m sure I’ll keep her in the crib even after that. I think once she understands more that bedtime is bedtime.

We converted our twins to the toddler bed probably a month and they do just fine. The first couple of weeks I put padding down on the floor just in case but they didn’t have any falls.
