Medications and Pregnancy frustration.

Destini

I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis last year, when I told my doctor that we are attempting to conceive he refused to prescribe any medication until I took the medication list to my OB to get his input on what would be best during pregnancy.

Now a year later I am finially pregnant, today I went to my doctor for my quarterly blood tests, he took me off all medications for a month till I get in to see my OB. Again to get the OBs input on medications.

I understand that he doesn't want to do anything that could harm baby, that's why we went to the OB the first time.

When my PA flairs up I loose the ability to use my hands! I have been on medication for a year and still don't have full mobility in my dominate hand.

Why bother getting OB input in the first place if he was just gonna take me off the meds as soon as I got pregnant especially since they gave me a lower dose that by all research shouldn't harm baby?

It is just so frustrating! Flare ups HURT and I NEED my hands.
