How do you deal with a disrespectful partner?

How do you deal with your partner that can be disrespectful? He’s been working on himself and it’s been so damn good for months now until last night. He was tired from coming back to town after a long 6 hour drive. Me and our son we’re not tired and just being loud. He told me to shut the F up. I stayed quiet and left. He then banged his head and made a crack on the wall. He came to me and said he was sorry. I’m getting therapy and he’s a big part of why i’m getting it too. I just feel disgusted in his behavior and it makes it SO HARD to love someone that disrespects you like you’re nothing. Any advice? I’m in my room isolated bc i really think it’s causing depression again. Another thing is that he has such a SHORT temper
