Has anyone ever gotten their child a gift for Mother’s Day? I know it sounds wierd but I was thinking this year buying my 9 year old son a little package of things him and I can do together. I was thinking of getting him a rock painting kit and some stuff to plant our own tiny garden. Is that weird?

He’s getting to the age where he doesn’t want to hang out with his mom anymore and it makes me so sad to see him growing up so fast. I figured I’d like to get him a few things him and I can do together just to hang onto that little bit of baby he has left in him and what better time to get them for him, Mother’s Day. It can be called a mommy and me package.

On a side note who else is having a hard time accepting that their children are growing up? I swear my son is 9 going on 16. All of a sudden he cares what other people think of him, doesn’t want to be seen with me in front of his friends, only wants to play video games. Ugh where did my sweet little boy go 😭
