Opposing views & controversy

So my husband and I had our first encounter with someone pushing their opinions on us as new parents. We have opposing views on COVID- 19 and the how we’re going to handle it/ visitors once baby is here. My parents (with everything) tend to think they’re opinion is the only opinion. Well, my husband and my mom got into a heated argument today. It was their first altercation, ever. How is everyone handling all the advice/ opinions from other people? I know this is a pretty common issue but ESPECIALLY now during the pandemic.
