OB mix up

I’m so upset. So today, I had my first OB appointment since finding out that I was pregnant (currently thinking I’m 9weeks). When I made this appointment, I asked for my normal OB/GYN and the receptionist was super confused on who I was talking about. She eventually decided to set me up with a different doctor which was whatever. Just get me in. I then called a few days later and asked if my husband could join since I had heard that some offices were allowing a support person. Doctor said it was fine. So both me and my husband are super excited that we get to see our baby for the first time together. So day of my appointment comes (today) and we’re excited and get to the appointment. We check in, doctor takes us back and my doctor starts asking me questions about some medication that I was on and I told him I wasnt taking it anymore. Then he asked me if I’ve already had my 1st OB appointment and I told him no that this was my first OB appointment. Then he asks me who my OB is and I was like ...uh...you? And he goes “I’m not an OB. I’m just a general doctor”. So the lady who originally booked my appointment, booked me with just a random doctor. So this doctor goes ahead and cancels our appointment with him and doesn’t charge us for the appointment and also goes ahead and gets lab work done for me so we can atleast check my levels and possibly find out how far I am. This doctor was so kind about the situation and tried to make everything better. I was (and still am) upset that I drove the 30 minutes to my office only to have to schedule a new appointment at an office that is now 45 minutes from me because it was the only office with availability this week. So now I have to wait until Thursday to have my first OB appointment and my husband can’t come with. I’m just so upset about this whole situation and we were so excited to get to see this baby together 😞 I’m happy that we were able to schedule something this week at least.
