SMA TRAIT

This morning my midwife called me and said my genetic results came back and that I have the trait for SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) and that my boyfriend will have to come in to get tested. Has anyone else gone through this? And say my boyfriend also has the trait for it what’s the likelihood of my daughter actually having it? Like have any of you had the trait and also your partner but everything turned out fine with your baby? I know people are different that’s why I’m open to hearing other peoples stories.
