Is this being too mothering?

My boyfriend & I have been together 7 years. He currently doesn’t have a car so he can’t drive places and he doesn’t know how to cook. We do not live together because we live at home with our parents (we are only 22 and it’s saving money while I’m in college). Anyway, I was out by his house today and I texted him asking if he had stuff to eat and if not asked him if he wanted me to pick him up McDonald’s and drop if for him even though we aren’t hanging out today. Is this too mothering?

No it’s a nice gesture. Too much would be like every day you drive him his groceries and every meal and become his personal taxi service

I think it was nice of you to offer. I think he could’ve just said no thank you if he didn’t want you to do that. Unless you were being pushy about it after he already said no then I wouldn’t think it was too mothering.

Not at all! I think it’s a kind gesture. I used to do things like that all the time when I was still dating my husband. Sometimes I wouldn’t even bother asking. I’d just show up with food or coffee or something

I think its sweet. Unless it becomes an issue where he depends on to feed its not a problem.
