Any car girls? Help?

So my husband wants to buy a newer mustang and I personally don’t think we’re financially stable to be doing so. I always look at what could happen (my car could go to shit, we could lose our jobs etc.) and if anything were to happen we wouldn’t be able to afford a new mustang (mind you he already has a 2001 mustang GT that he’s put a lot of money into) plus all of our bills we already have. He’s admit about getting one this coming summer and I’m not agreeing so much. What should we do? I’m so tired of arguing with him and he just thinks I don’t want him to be happy...

as much as i miss my vroom vroom car, i’m 100% okay with waiting until my kids are older and were more financially stable to get one. do you guys have kids? do you want kids? mustangs aren’t ideal family cars. i had an infiniti coupe i traded in for our 4runner TRD, it has nearly 100,000 miles less than my infiniti did AND comfortably seats my now two kids AND i can fit a case of water AND a stroller in there, among other groceries- something you can’t do in a smaller sedan or coupe. what about a boat? lol there’s so many other things out there. or save your money!!! i don’t think now is the time to make huge purchases unless you really need to

I mean, you can argue about it all you want. He’s going to get one whether you agree or not, if he truly wants one. You just need to decide whether it’s a deal breaker in your marriage or not. 
This really has nothing to do with being a car enthusiast and more so with issues surrounding your relationship. If he won’t take your opinions into consideration now, who knows what else he won’t compromise on? 
I had a 2015 mustang GT and a 2017 mustang GT, among other sports and muscle cars. I love them, but I’m not going to get them off my husband isn’t on board. My husband and I share a car hobby, thank goodness.

I love cars. I work on them. I build them, and I go to every car show I can. But sounds like he is being unreasonable and a bit selfish. I would love to buy a new better project car since I don't have one but cost wise nit the time so I will wait. And honestly mustangs are kinda shit cars. Can be fun to drive but they mechanically break down a lot and tend to need more maintenance than similar cars. Classic ones were built better but everything mid 2000s and newer is meh. If he has just decided to do it whether you are ok with it or not that sucks and would not be cool with me personally. Good luck and hope he comes to his senses haha
