Induction??!!

Is it normal to not have an induction date? I’m 40 weeks pregnant today and my doctor hasn’t set up any follow up appointments or any appointment to be induced. I have no signs of labor yet and I’m just concerned.

Totally normal to not have an induction date set. I’m 40+6 and I have a backup induction date but that’s only because the hospital I’m delivery at is crazy busy and they only take so many appointments a day. My doctor delivers at two different hospitals and she told me that if I picked the other one I wouldn’t need to schedule in advance because it’s in/near a retirement community and the L&D department doesn’t get much action.

Maybe try asking? I was told you’re allowed to ask for one after you reach 39 weeks and that’s what I did

I think you have to ask. I told my doctor at 37 weeks that I didn’t want to go too far over my due date. I’m 40 weeks tomorrow and getting induced at 40+1

I’m 41 weeks and don’t have a date set. Next appointment is Monday and I’m sure we’ll set a plan then
