baby essentials?

Question

Probably a stupid question lol, but this is my first baby and as I’m coming up on my due date I want to make sure I have all the essentials. 
This is a list of all I have right now:
-crib 
-bassinet 
-tons of clothes (sleepers/onesies/pants) in various sizes 
-also tons of socks, hats, and mittens 
-tons of swaddles and blankets 
-newborn and size 1 diapers 
-bath soap and lotions 
-baby wash cloths and towels 
-burb clothes and bibs
-4 pack of 4oz bottles 
-a few pacifiers
-car seat 
-some formula 
I’m sure I have more but this is all that’s on the top of my head lol 
Are infant shoes necessary or should I just not waste my money? 
Should I buy more bottles? 
Do I need any other feeding supplies other than bottles right now? 
Should I get more pacifiers? 
What else do I absolutely need?

sooo you might totally hate me or maybe i just hate spending my money 😅 
i returned my swing
never used half the baby soaps i got- baby dove is my favorite and i always thought i’d use johnson and johnson but the stuff is trash. i also hated how the other soaps smelled (babyganics, can’t think of any other ones) 
never used mittens, hated the sleeper onesies (like the really long ones with the scrunch at the bottom) 
never used a pack and play. never used a changing table. 
we loved loved loved using the walker and the bouncer. 
i never put shoes on my kid until he was a size 6, and he hated it for like two days and i thought i was doomed and needed to try earlier with this baby but he got over it so fast, he correlates shoes with being outside so i actually have to hide his shoes lol. 
i bought waaay too many bottles, especially since they’re plastic, idk i love glass over plastic and the idea of a glass bottle kinda freaks me out but it’s worth a shot. i hate how the plastic ones look and smell after so many uses and feel like i shouldn’t throw them away, but don’t know if another mom would use them or if i need to recycle them or what but definitely don’t get too many bottles. i did because it was easier than washing all of them all the time because those first few weeks as a ftm are really hard, but it just becomes more for you to wash so my advice is stick with the 4 for now and buy a pitcher to make a bulk batch of formula in if you need to.
my son never used a paci. i noticed he never cried unless he genuinely needed something from me so i felt it was unnecessary to give him one since he really just needed to be fed, changed or put to sleep. i do see some moms find it super useful though. i’d just stick with one or two (different brands cause your baby might not like the nipples on it) 
you don’t need to buy different detergent for your baby, just use what you use. 
i also have like two newborn towels and a few wash cloths, it’s not any different than a regular towel, maybe a little softer but i just buy new big fluffy towels and don’t let anyone else use them lol. 
i loveddd muslin swaddles, i unfortunately do not use any other fabric with swaddles- it doesn’t wrap like i want and they’re usually smaller. i hate this too because my grandma gifted me some blankets that i’ve never opened because i don’t like the fabric 😩 
you only need enough clothes to rotate on your baby without doing laundry like a mad woman lol (the first few weeks. i’d say when they’re in 0-3 or 3 month clothing that you can buy a little more cuter things or spend your money a little bit more but they grow so fast that IMO it’s not worth indulging in unless it’s a holiday or special occasion or something) my son is 22 months next week and basically skipped 9 month clothes, 18 month clothes and we’re barely hanging on to 3T. he’s been in size 1, size 3 and size 6 diapers the longest. was probably in size 4 the shortest period of time. 
i used a night light (VAVA, looks like an egg, on amazon) 
barely used my boppy, probably would’ve used the boppy lounger more but i don’t think a dock a tot is necessary especially for the price) 
my opinion is also you don’t need anything fancy like a wipe warmer, baby food maker or a formula bottle maker. 
the fridababy and zarbee’s products are wonderful. 
i hate my diaper bag lol. i’m a less is more type person so i ended up getting the skip hop fanny pack lookin thing and used it for quite a while. i always go out to the car for diaper changes and only bring a bottle, my wallet and keys with me in the store. it’s a lot to hold and lug all that shit around. 
the baby wraps helped, definitely buy secondhand IMO. no need to spend full price. i have a baby bjorn, one of those fabric wraps and two eegobabg carriers and never used them past 6 months. i can’t see what i’m typing anymore so i think glow thinks i should be done lol

Infant shoes are definitely a waste of money. My baby never wore them. Those felt booties that are essentially thick socks with velcro she wore all the time in winter, though.
Make sure you have a thermometer (preferably rectal) and some medicine like acetaminophen on hand, even if you never need to use it.
I had a specific bottle brush and drying rack for my daughter’s bottles (though she ended up rarely taking a bottle and only breastfeeding 99% of the time). I bought probably 20 bottles and most were never used.
Sound machine and video monitor have been lifesavers, still to this day and she’s 2 on Monday. I splurged and got the Hatch sound machine and Nanit baby monitor (they were on sale on prime day if you can wait that kind) and love them both. 
Swaddles, especially the Velcro ones, were awesome for my baby. She rolled back to belly at a young age, so we switched to a magic Merlin suit for a while until she was ready to sleep without one.
I had 3-4 wubbanub and 4-8 regular pacifiers, but she never took to them, so I’d say you’re good with just a couple now.

Did you buy one brand of bottles? I suggest starting with 2 or 3 to test out which nipples/bottles baby likes ( my first HATED the bottles I bought, went through 3 until found one she liked haha ) I grabbed the babylist bottle box for this pregnancy so I can have options. 
Diaper cream 
Saline drops and nose frida
4 to 6 pack of pacifiers ( my first loved the hospital ones so I bought those for this pregnancy but also a different set in case ) 
Swing
Bottle warmer or instant water warmer ( bottle warmer took extra time so I grabbed the water warmer this round ) 
Sound machine ( hatch is great or you can use your phone for an app ) 
Distilled water for formula 
Burp cloths ( they were the best thing with my first so I bought a lot this round ) 
Baby nail kit 
Just some things that were a great help with my first and that I made sure to get for my upcoming lil!
